QLD: Three suspected homicides in Queensland

BRISBANE, Dec 7 AAP - A woman has been charged over one of three separate suspected murders across Queensland in the one night.

The 54-year-old woman was charged with murder after a 50-year-old man died from stab wounds in Cornubia, south of Brisbane, about 11pm (AEST) on Saturday.

She is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday.

In a separate incident, a 32-year-old man was earlier charged with the murder of a 59-year-old man in Townsville and is due to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday.

Police said they found the man dead from head injuries after receiving a call to a house about 6.20pm (AEST) on Saturday.

In Mackay, a 42-year-old man was found at the Mackay harbour with stab wounds about 3am on Sunday.

He was taken to hospital but died on arrival, a police spokesman said.

Police are interviewing a 25-year-old man but no charges have been laid.
